No, Brisbane Grammar School and the surrounding grounds are designated smoke-free zones.
When I registered I forgot to inform the bookings office about my dietary requirements, is it too late?
No, please let the office know via phone (03 9254 1041) or email (email@example.com) of any requirements you may have.
As a teacher, will I get a Professional Learning certificate?
Yes. All delegates will receive a certificate which will be available for collection on the final day of the conference
Is there parking at Brisbane Grammar School?
Parking is available in the car park at the back of the School. This is accessed off College Road only via the Normanby 5-ways intersection.
To get to the Lilley Centre from the carpark, walk from the car park towards the School, turn right onto the internal road and walk up the hill. The road swings to the left and the Lilley Centre is the large, modern building on the right.
Can I take photos or video recordings of the sessions?
Please respect the intellectual property of the presenters and do not record any sessions on any device without their express consent. You may take informal photos during break times. There will be an ‘official’ photographer at the conference. If you do not wish to have your photo taken, please stay out of the line of vision.
Can anyone attend the informal dinner on Saturday evening, or only conference delegates?
All are welcome to order a meal prior to the Gala Concert dinner on Saturday 1 July 17. There is no additional cost for delegates at the conference who have booked all 4 days though they MUST RSVP to attend the dinner. Day registrants and guests can book using try booking https://www.trybooking.com/NYGW Bookings are essential.
Can anyone attend the concerts, or only conference delegates?
Tickets for the Opening Concert (Friday night) and the Gala Concert (Saturday night) may be made through Try Booking link https://www.trybooking.com/NYGW. The Closing Ceremony and the Lunchtime Concerts are included for delegates, there will be limited additional tickets available at the door. Information for the Pemulwuy Finale Concert (Sunday evening) is available from the Queensland Performing Arts Complex – https://www.qpac.com.au/.
Delegates may attend lunchtime concerts at Pemulway at no charge, must wear your nametag.
I am a conference delegate, do I need to buy a ticket to the evening concerts?
If you have selected Full Registration, Choralfest concert tickets are included with your registration. You will need to book Pemulwuy tickets separately.
What catering is included with my daily registration?
Lunch, Morning and Afternoon Tea is included with your registration fees on the day of registration. If you have registered for the full conference you must RSVP for the informal dinner on Saturday night but the cost is included in your registration fee. If you have only registered for a day, the dinner is additional cost and must be booked. The Post Conference Party on Monday is an additional cost and must be booked either when you register or by using the try booking link https://www.trybooking.com/NYGW .
Is Membership Included in my registration?
No, it is not included, however you can join via the ANCA on the website at www.anca.org.au and then register for the conference at the member rate.
Do I need to sign up for the electives I wish to attend?
No, you do not need to sign up for your chosen elective, just show up on to the room on time to be sure to get a place.
Will I get notes for the sessions I attend?
Notes are included in your conference handbook.
I would like to attend the Forum Breakfast on the Monday Morning, do I need to book? Is this an extra cost?
You just need to put your name on the list at the registration desk by Saturday at the end of lunchtime, you will be able to purchase your own breakfast
What Uniform do we need to wear for Festival Choir concerts?
Please wear your usual choir uniform, or if you are attending as an individual all black is fine
Can I get my cappuccino at the conference?
Yes, there will be a coffee van – Espresso Colombia available daily from 7.30am located outside the Lilley Centre
How do I present my notes for participants?
Presenters will be asked to supply up to four pages of notes for each of their sessions for the conference handbook. (Details will be sent in the new year). Or info about USB etc if decided.

Any reproduction of printed music, including projection on a screen, that is more than 10% of a copyright work requires permission from the copyright holder.
Timing of sessions
We ask that you get to your room early and please start and end sessions on time. This enables the smooth running of the Conference and also ensures that participants won’t be running late for their next session. It can be tempting to run into break times but we ask that you resist this temptation!! If possible, to help in this, one of the committee or student helpers will give a 5-10 minute reminder for the end of your session. Thank you for your assistance in this.
How much time do I have for my session?
All Interest sessions run for 70 minutes except for Elective 5 (Monday morning) which runs for 40 minutes. This includes time for questions and comments. Please be aware of the time ensuring that the presenter who follows has their full allocation of time as well.
What do I need to provide if I am using powerpoint in my presentation?
Please bring your presentation on a USB to plug into the school system. You must ensure that your presentation is PC Compatible.
I have some music to play in my presentation, what is the best way to do that?
Please bring on your USB in MP3 format or have available on your phone with a cable to plug into the school system.
